what I wish I had said
what I said:
what I wish I had said:
Inquisitive Woman at t-ball: "How did you pick [at the orphanage]?"
Me: "blah blah blah Ministry of Education blah blah blah Russian official selects blah blah blah."
what I wish I had said:
Inquisitive Woman at t-ball: "How did you pick [at the orphanage]?"
Me: "The same way you did."
Inquisitive Woman: "Huh?"

A year ago today I was still a brand new blogger posting instructions on how to comment for my brand new readers who were mostly new to blogs themselves.
Apparently it is time to repost instructions, as many of us seem to have forgotten.
Ready. Set. Go.
Apparently it is time to repost instructions, as many of us seem to have forgotten.
Step 1: Click on the words at the bottom of the post that read "not a single comment yet. sad." or "one lovely and intelligent comment" or "# words of encouragement, thus far".
Step 2: A little pop-up window will pop-up. Don't be alarmed. It is a nice friendly pop-up window eager to receive and cherish your every utterance.
Step 3: Type your name or alias into the name box.
Step 4: Type your email address into the email box (no-one will see it but me and you can always type in a phony one if you wish).
Step 5: Type your comment into the box that reads "comment".
Step 6: Click the "Preview" button; admire your contribution.
Step 7: Click on the "Publish" button.
