apple cake

I've made Smitten Kitchen's Apple Cake 4 times in the last few weeks. I use about 1/2 C less sugar than called for and I put a bit of baking parchment in the bottom of the pan. Other than those two alterations, it's a perfect recipe for a fall cake. Click on over to see for yourself.

I made the cake tonight. It is SO very delicious. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks for the tip. This would make a really nice Holiday brunch dish -- it's very coffee-cake-ish.

thank you! I'll try it -- I've been wishing for an apple cake recipe. I have a lot of apples that need caking.
