privacy

I haven't been blogging, as I am torn between these two: sharing what is happening and maybe getting some help and support versus protecting my children's privacy.  So, I have made a new blog.  If you would like to read it, please post a comment here or send me an email, and I'll send the address to you.

I'll be moving all the old TMI posts over to the new blog, so don't be surprised if a post that was here disappears and/or the new blog shows old material.

I totally understand the need for privacy and the need for support at the same time. If it is alright with you, I would love to help offer you that support. six sunflower seeds at gmail dot com

Hi Suzanne,
We met at Girl Scouts this Spring. We are struggling with attachment disorder with our new children, so I would very much like to continuing following your journey.

Hi Suzanne,

I understand your quandery and I think you've landed on a good solution. I'd love to keep following you. You seem to be a voice of sanity when adoption issues feel overwhelming. We just passed our three years home and have our good days, great days and not so good days. Hold on with your heart. I think you're doing an amazing job.

I would like to continue following your posts, Suzanne. My grandchildren, a brother and sister, were also adopted from Russia and I know the trials, joys and sadness they have had to endure. Bonnie

Hey Suzanne! I know I don't comment often but I always read, as I have from the beginning. I would love to keep reading.I have learned so much about how to handle some of my own little girl's behaviors. Not to mention I am attached to our AIA families, even if from afar.

If you don't have my mail any longer, you can get me at cbodette at gmail.

Hi Suzanne,

I read your blog regularly, but seldom post. As a mom to 3 Russian kids, I am very interested in hearing what goes on with yours and willing to offer support as needed! I would like to see your new blog.

We adopted our daughter from Russia from the same agency you used :-) I quite enjoy your blog and would like to keep reading about your journey.

FYI - our daughter is now 8 - just a year younger than your Chickadee!

We are a bit late to the party as I only check blogs every week or so. We would love to be able to follow your kids since we have both met them and feel a connection with them and their city of origin in Khabarovsk.

Hi Cathy! How are you? I ran across the picture of all of us sitting on the stairs just the other day. Good memories.

I don't have a way to contact you. I'd be happy to send the new address to you, but I no longer have your email address. I converted from PC to MAC and left a lot of addresses behind.

Here I chatter about books, parenting, election 2008, recipes, teaching college writing, and the adventures of getting settled in with our two freshly (Fall 06) adopted school-age children from Russia. This blog is chapter two; chapter one is posted at Jamie & Suzanne go to Russia. I live in the City of Subdued Excitement, Cascadia, Land of the Free.

I am the wife of a man I call My Gift from a Generous God. I am mama to two lovely children, Dandy and Chickadee that became ours in September 2006 in a court-room in Siberia. I am the daughter of two people whom I love and admire. One of them, my dad, is a new (Dec 06) paraplegic.

In my previous life (B.C. - before children), I was a college English teacher, specializing in composition and ESL composition.
