Thanksgiving

I'm nuts. I just sent out eVite invitations for Thanksgiving: 28 people! If I run 3 extra tables off the end of our dining room table and into the living room, we can all sit down, in theory at least.

So, I am in full list-making frenzy. The first thing on my list was to procure turkey brine. Remember last year, when PW posted her brined turkey method and Williams Sonoma promptly sold out? I got ahead of them this year, so now I can afford to remind you. Yes it is ridiculously expensive, but if you had a taste of last year's turkey, you would concur that it is a necessary expense.

I'm running a menu list in my sidebar, and I'm sure you will soon see a to-do list over there. I'll whine and cry about all the work, but don't be fooled. I love it.

Now I need to rustle up some tables.

Oh dear, you don't need to purchase premade brine. We've brined our turkey the last 4 years and it is the best turkey I've ever made. I use the Good Eats Roast Turkey recipe from Alton Brown. Do a search for it on FoodTV.com. It is fantastic.
