We have a secret beach where one can let one's dogs run free and build campfires. Before Dad got hurt, he would take Dandy there and build fires and talk about guy things. This was before they really had a language in common. At first, I tried to keep Dandy home, for attachment purposes, but Dad was so eager, I gave in. I'm so glad I did.
