Cream of Tomato Soup

Fall is soup season for us. Here is my latest find. MMMMMmmmmmmm.


Cream of Tomato Soup

Whirl in blender, then set aside:
3-4 C chopped peeled tomatoes – fresh or canned
½ t baking soda

Melt in soup kettle:
3-4 T butter

Add while stirring:
¼ cup flour
(wait a minute, keep stirring)
4 cups milk
1 T honey
1 ½ tsp sea-salt
dash black pepper
Most of the tomatoes from blender, leave a bit in the bottom of the blender

Whirl in blender, then add to soup:
Tomato leavings
6-10 leaves fresh basil
