Quote of the Day

When cleaning up the kitchen with my son: My first job is to build a relationship with him. My second job is to train him in how to clean the kitchen. My third job is to clean the kitchen. At the end of the day, when I fret that nothing got done, I need to evaluate my day in terms of relationship-building and training, not in terms of task completion. ~ Suzanne

gadgets for arthritic hands

I've been scurring around trying to find kitchen gadgets that work better for me. This is the coolest thing I have found:

It sits in the palm of your hand as you peel your vegies. I tried it with carrots tonight and it worked flawlessly. It also looks a lot safer for the kids.

So far, I have rounded up much of what I need, but there are two things I haven't yet located: fat-handled knives and fat-handled wooden spoons. Chopping and stirring are still ouchy. What I'd really like to find is something that I can slip over the end of my wooden spoons, rather like a great big pencil grip.
