works for me: ready-made waffles

Oh how we love our freezer waffles. I make up a double batch of this recipe on the weekends, freeze them, and then pop them directly from the freezer into the toaster on school mornings. If we are in a rush, we can eat them in the car. If we are not in a hurry, we eat them with homemade yogurt and jam on top.

Waffles

2 C pancake mix
1/2 C baking cocoa
1/2 C rolled oats
1/4 C wheat germ or wheat bran
1/4 C flax seeds
1/4 C sesame seeds
1/4 C sunflower seeds
1/4 C ground walnuts or pecans
1/4 C malted milk powder
1/4 C shredded sweetened coconut
2 T vanilla extract
2 T cooking oil
water to make into a pourable batter
