Quote of the Day

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

works for me: waxed paper squares

When I was a little girl my Nana taught me to bake. She used a square of waxed paper to sift onto and then just picked it up and funneled everything into her bowl.

I use waxed paper squares from Costco nearly every time I cook or bake. I toss the fruit or vegie trimmings onto a square for easy transfer to the garbage can. I set one out when I bake as it makes an easy landing pad for floury measuring cups and damp spoons. And of course, I sift onto one. The sifting one gets fold and reused, as that is what Nana did.
