I give this advice to my classes and to the young adults in my circle. Feel free to pass it on.

Be careful who you sleep with as they very well may be picking out your children's step-parents.

Here I chatter about books, parenting, election 2008, recipes, teaching college writing, and the adventures of getting settled in with our two freshly (Fall 06) adopted school-age children from Russia.
