are they siblings?
If one more person asks me, in front of my children, "are they siblings?" my head is going to explode. I always arrange my face into an appearance of confusion and reply in a confiding sort of voice, "Of course, aren't yours?"
just don't, adoption

AUGH! I HATE that one! I try to be gracious in my response, but most days I just want to smack them upside the head!
Gah. People are so freaking rude.
So sorry peoples' comments are so rude. I'm sure they just want to know why your children look so... related. I have cousins adopted from the same family. I didn't know for years since they looked so much like family- which, duh, they are. If it makes you feel any better biological parents face tons of stupid questions and comments as well.
I wouldn't mind SO much if they didn't ask it in front of my kids. What are my kids going to make of it?
I love your response though. Honestly, I hope by the time our daughter arrives I'll be able to be half as gracious as you.
I had a comment here before...
Kate, it's over here.
