wow! what an excellent list- I've been passing around my copy of "Tales of a Female Nomad" to the gals here in Korea... I figure it's inspirational travel literature. I'll write down a few of the books on your list to see if they have them at the library here. What are your top 5?
The Eyre Affair is one of my FAVS! (I think the sequel is even better.)
Just tried to read Three Cups of Tea and, despite it being a book that should have been fascinating, I just didn't like it. I didn't even finish it--which is saying a lot for me. I found what's his name unlikeable...but not sure if that's his fault or the author's.
Highjack all you wish. I too started Three Cups of Tea and didn't stay with it. I haven't abandoned it altogether, but it may be on the 'to read' list for a long long time.

That's my 'to read' list Brynn, so they are all untested. Here is a link to my reviews on Library Thing.
Wow, that's a wonderfully varied list! Two on your list I highly enjoyed were The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and Enchantment.
Happy reading!

Enough highjacking. Enjoy!
