Quote of the Day

We are a nation that has a government—not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed. ~ Ronald Reagan, First Inaugural Address, 1981

wake up Mom!

Chickadee woke me up this morning, saying:

Mom, wake up, you have lots of responsubiwities, you have to paint my toenails and cook yummy food and go to your boring meeting and take us to Grandma and Grandpas.
Hard to argue with that!

"responsubiwities" - I LOVE THAT! Kid words are so fun.

FavoriteSon once told me he figured I was at home "manufunctioning" something. I took it as a compliment.

That is very cute. So was the meeting really boring?

The kids think ALL meetings are boring. In fact, they may think that boring meeting is just one word. It was a departmental retreat and I got some good writing done.
